RECOMMENDED REIKI GUIDES FOR REIKI LEVELS ONE AND TWO
Reiki, A Guide for the Practice of Levels I and II by Marianne Streich 2009
This book covers a lot of ground with well-written words and an abundance of helpful pictures. It does a particularly good job of combing out the language of the Reiki precepts into powerful, positive statements.

RECOMMENDED READING FOR ALL STUDENTS OF REIKI
Reiki: Hawayo Takata's Story by Helen J. Haberly
The most authoritative book available on Reiki, Mrs. Takata's own story is told simply and powerfully by her student and friend, Helen J. Haberly, a Reiki Master whose years of experience with this healing energy qualify her as a respected Elder in this ancient tradition.
The power of Reiki an ancient hands-on healing technique by Tanmaya Honervogt 1998
Filled with pictures of nature, self healing exercises, meditations and Reiki hand positions for treatment exchange, this comprehensive books covers the author’s own path to Reiki, the levels of training, an overview of the chakras with sections on crystal healing, group work and Reiki for pets. The photos have been illuminated to show the energy body around the human form making it easier to visualize how Reiki works. This is one of my favorite Reiki books.
Reiki a comprehensive guide by Pamela Miles 2006
Like the title says this is a comprehensive guide to Reiki that covers the history, training and application of Reiki. It gives an overview of using Reiki in the personal sphere as well as Reiki’s place with science and medicine. Pamela Miles is very outspoken about Reiki. Check her YouTube videos about Reiki too.
