More information about the Chakra Energy System:
The Chakra Energy System is the energetic counterpart of the physical systems of the body. There are seven major Chakras that align from the head to the base of the spine and cover all major organs and glands within the body. Each chakra transmits and receives its own special “ki” vibration. Ki (key) is the Reiki name for the universal life-force energy that animates the living world. This force is the power by which the chakra system operates and has varying names according to the tradition defining it: “prana”, “mana” and “chi” are other names by which this spiritual energy is known. There are also many minor chakras, most of which are located at the joints of the physical body. Every Chakra has a specific function and vibration and although non-physical these subtle energy centers play an important role in health and wellness.
The word “Chakra" is a Vedic term meaning "wheel of light" that was coined by the ancient healers of India who could directly perceive the spectral light of the auric body. They saw that the seven chakras correspond with the seven ray spectrum of the rainbow. They also sensed the special attunement of the Chakras with the seven notes of the musical scale. When they are clear and functioning properly the chakras radiate the full energetic spectrum like a rainbow and sing with a full set of notes. Chakras work like spinning power converters that transform the raw power of the universe into a form of energy that can recharge the batteries of the mind body and spirit.
Stress acts as a discordant vibration to the harmony of health. The stress of unexpressed emotions, beliefs incongruent with fact, disconnection from a higher power, unhealthy diet, poor environment, lack of exercise, exposure to toxicity, etc. can cause the chakra system to close down. The body can function mechanically for sometime without an influx of cosmic chi nourishment, but not for very successfully. When life force energy cannot flow freely through the chakra system to cleanse and invigorate the metabolism, the physical body may suffer. An unresolved imbalance to any of these delicate energetic bio-structures can become the source of illness, fatigue and depression.
Chakras are affected by outside environmental factors as well as internal emotional and mental aspects. A lifestyle that includes a variety nutritious organic foods, adequate rest, creative stimulation and physical exercise helps strengthen the body’s energy systems, keeping them resilient against discordant vibrations.
Relationships often play a key role in the health because of the positive and or negative emotional bonds surrounding them, so keep them positive. There are many ways to improve the health of your energy body; meditation practice, musical toning, color therapy, crystal healing, acupuncture and other holistic and complimentary wellness methods can be used as tools to balance and energize the Chakras.
