Autumn has some astonishing turnovers in store this year and we’re not talking oven puff pastries, people. October with Halloween, haunted houses and masquerades is impressive but September is by far the scarier month. It harkens the dark obscuring forces of the Eclipse and the Blood Moon. The Green Reiki Circle meets in a fascinating portal of time that bridges two Solar/Lunar Eclipses, the change in season from Summer into Fall and the astrological cusp of Virgo and Libra. There’s a super moon too. In short, it’s another Apocalypse. Google it, it’s a thing. For better or worse, this September is one of those rare times when our true nature comes into vivid focus, without embellishment, without backdrop. It’s when the masks come off and we get to see what’s really underneath. It’s time to take a brave, unblinking look at your dark beauty while recognizing and appreciating all the textures of truth and light that surround your unique silhouette. Now back to the Apocalypse . . . The legend describes a dicey choose-your-own-ending tale preceded by a gruesomely complicated Catch-22 struggle with an overpoweringly dangerous beast. Just because the world supposedly burns down into an impenetrable darkens this coming weekend and a giant imaginary Viking wolf comes out of the void to potentially gobble up all hope of the future is of no real concern. You will save the world from certain destruction in one deft motion. We trust you. There are some very serious monsters out there, ones who definitely have their hungry eyes on the cherry pie of your tomorrow, but the shaggy beast that you must confront in order to save the world this time is a different kind of animal and it lurks in a much deeper and more personal terrain. You can forget about a magic bullet or a silver bullet to hunt this thing. Nordic legend states that the big bad wolf must be taken down with your bare hands. Weapons are useless against the beast that dwells within. Smoochy and I also suggest that you bare your soul to the beast as well, because the fear of no tomorrow is really a lack of confidence in today. Eclipses are collective times of holding our cosmic breath and waiting for the shadow of doubt to pass and a comforting sky to return. Fear is always scary, thus the name. Fear of loss, fear of change and the lonesome thoughts that come with them can stymie even the most intrepid soul. The story about the snarling beast of the Apocalypse is really a fairytale about the same things that typically bite us all in the ass. They’re easy to recognize, even in the dark. Often saving the world means dismantling our fondest outmoded aspiration, reaching into the shadowy, uncertain places and grasping some hope for the coming day. The true heart always wins out. You are an extraordinary creature with the power to dream reality into creation. Choose your alliances carefully during this twilight time of astrological power because it’s time to press the interstellar reset button. Relax. It’s only the end of the f’ing world. There will be a new one tomorrow, and it can be even better than the last one, as long as we kill Apocalypse. The Snohomish Circle Green Reiki faction is planning to do just that, this Thursday evening at seven.

On Friday the 13th, one of the spookiest good juju days of 2015, I found a handwritten Valentine from the Universe. While on a walk with my wiener-dogs down the streets of our hometown I paused to consider the architecture of an unusual house and began imagining a dragon shrine along its roofline. Then I looked down and saw a tiny piece of paper on the sidewalk and picked it up. It was an inventory slip written in abbreviations that meant nothing to me. As usual I had hoped it might be a “sign” and I looked at it again to see if there might be something magical about this little random piece of garbage, perhaps a message was written between the lines. I felt a little let down by the insignificance of the unintelligible writing. I almost dropped it to the pavement again with my disappointment before deciding that re-littering is kind of lame. So I flipped it over before stuffing it in my pocket and was surprised to find one the best love letters that the universe has ever sent me. Check it out, I thinks it’s meant for everyone… {To my Fairy friends … thank you for capturing my imagination with dragons at exactly the right time and place and thank you, for however many times you had to loudly whisper: piiiiiick….. Iiiiiiittt…..uuuuuuuup. I’m glad I listened and I love yew too.} WARNING: The persuasive literature you are about to read is filled with outrageous descriptions of firsthand experiences with the Divine that could change the way you feel about Jesus. Click the craven image of the cloven hooved Son-of-Nature for a downloadable PDF of the Wild Christ Love Letter. “The medium-beige American luxury sedan pulled up slowly and parked in front of my white picket fence. Then the driver, wearing a matching medium-beige leisure suit strode from the car, down the avenue on foot, carrying a book in his hand.I suddenly got a strong feeling I was on the list for salvation….” When people knock on my door and want to talk about the Lord, I answer it with a pamphlet of my own, filled with propaganda about the very personal relationship I share with the Lord…the Lord Pan. The heart speaks in a language that mere blog posts cannot, but let’s do it anyway with a mini-miracle sighting. Interactions like these are impossible to explain unless you already know the simple secrets of the universe. Love connects us to every living thing in the universe and everything in the universe is alive and listening. Today’s true tale of nature communication comes from our friend Reiki Master Cody. The image is of the actual flower from the story. The Baker and the Ants by Cody Reeves It was a busy day at work like any other for the soul known to me as Jade, so she probably never would have guessed her lunch break would yield such a magical experience as it did. Working at a busy bakery, as soon as she had a chance to take her lunch break she headed straight for the comfort of a familiar tree’s shade – finally, a chance to feed herself after feeding the slew of hungry customers who had occupied her morning! She sat quietly with a book in hand while enjoying her peanut butter and jam sandwich. As simple as it seemed in comparison to the lavish fare the bakery produced, she ate it in mindfulness. Still beside herself, an ant caught her attention as it roamed around searching for food, and she decided to make this search a little easier, sparing a few crumbs from her sandwich. The ant dutifully reported back to his colony about the miraculous crumbs that descended from the heavens that day, and Jade watched happily as they came to collect them. Much to her surprise, upon returning to this spot a few weeks later, nature had bloomed for her a manifestation of its deep appreciation. For anyone just now joining our diabolical plan for world takeover, the simple genius is this: amplify the power of love until it permeates the mind, body and spirit of everything on the planet, starting with ourselves. How does one go about taking over the world with Love? Glad I asked! First, know that the Green Reiki Circle is not alone in its efforts to tip the balance of power in favor of setting the global default setting to LOVE. There is a silent majority quietly pulling for peace every day, lots of angel people too. You’ll recognize them by their angelic icon jewelry. We are everywhere and our vote is for love and peace. We elect ourselves leaders of our own lives. Our party stands against the politics of fear. We would rather party with fun people who know how to share their snacks and true selves. The Green Reiki Circle is a small band of Reiki love bandits who meet every month at Circle Green Healing Arts to practice Reiki with each other and send a blast of positive energy to distant friends, troubled places and every beating heart on the planet. We’re big on compassion and connection but you don’t have to love everybody to join us. You do, however need to be able to muster up some unconditional love for the world, and maybe ten bucks if you’ve got it to give. Love is free, but until love rules everywhere the utility companies still send a bill. This Reiki Love Bomb is detonated on the last Thursday* evening of every month at Circle Green Healing Arts in Snohomish. Farther reaching than coal dust, more permeating than radioactive ions, the power and influence of Reiki energy can be felt on all levels of existence. The detonation of a Reiki Love Bomb can thwart boredom, hopelessness and despair of all kinds. Its warmth and afterglow evaporates sadness on a subatomic level and leaves a pepperminty cheerfulness in its wake. Don’t let our receptivity to cash donation make you uneasy. This event is open to every grateful heart. We ask that you share your most benevolent being when coming to the circle. That’s enough for us. Bring your questions, share your knowledge or simply your gratitude if that is what you have to offer…we like organic snacks too. Mostly we’d like to meet more people with a strong curiously about the power of love and light that dwells within them. If that’s you, please join our newsletter, email Smoochy or call Shannon to learn more about Reiki. |
