Shannon Marie Svensson - Usui Reiki Master Teacher
It was my love of art that led me to Reiki. I opened my first studio in 1991. Jewelry was my profession, shamanism was my passion. To me there is no separating imagination from spirit, nor the mind from the body. There was always a candle burning at the altar of Love & Light. I’ve been teaching Usui Reiki Ryoho since 2005 because I have found it to be the safest, fastest, most beneficial way of connecting people with the life-giving force within them.
Every one of my students has found success in their ability to channel Reiki energy. I consider Reiki mastership to be an essential prerequisite for most modern Shamanic work. |

I held Full Moon Circles for the women of my community. A Reiki practitioner came to one of our woo-woo gatherings and introduced us to Reiki. The movement of the energy fascinated me. At the time Reiki Master attunement still cost the traditional price of $10,000. Madam Takata based tuition on the value of her home. I kept on with more affordable pursuits like wildcrafting, essential oils, and affirmations. The practice of Yoga and meditation would have to suffice.
Eventually Reiki found me again at the Fairy Congress. My first Reiki master was an Astrologer and Shamanic Faery Seer. He worked with the deep earth magic and showed me how to contact and call the energies of Nature. We walked together over the red-hot coals of a blazing fire. Any resistance to the power of my perspective burned away with that experience. |
